Contributing to Child Protection Conference and Core Groups

Course overview

This course explains the purpose and structure of child protection conferences according to statutory guidance and the practitioners role within it under the Signs of Safety Framework. It will enable you to understand your contribution to child protection plan/safety plans and how safety will be achieved. The course also describes the responsibilities of multi-agency core group members in reviewing/amending and updating safety plans with families and looks at the contributions of the child’s voice.

It covers written contributions to child protection conferences using the Signs of Safety report pro-forma and explains your contribution to child protection.
